This is more kitchen stuff.

Anouther picture of the kitchen stove and tools.

This is the Butter Churn. They made butter everyday. They had 30 cows that supplied the milk for the butter.

This is the Juice Maker. They would gather apples from the orchard east of the fort.

A picture of the Stove. The 2 Large Bread pans would make 14 loaves every day. The Lady of the house (Sister Hinkley) would make 30 pies each day. All in a effort to feed everybody who lived there and all the weary travlers who stopped in. What an amazing woman.

This is a picture into the kitchen.

This is a picture of the Telegraph Office. The jars under the table hold the chemicals they made batteries with for the telegraph. The large blue jar (the battery) would last 90 days.

This is the room for all the Men at the Fort. The flag in this picture is the origional flag with 37 stars. What a cool time in history.

Picture of the water barrel in the corner to catch the rain water. if they ran out of water, they would have to haul water 1.5 miles. Whew! what a lot of work that would be!

This is looking into the fort from the entance. what you see is a beautiful court yard, and it is beautiful compared to the dessert surrounding the for on the out side.
